Mailbox design (concrete)

Design and build project :

creating a 1:1 scale concrete based mailbox was the main project requirement for this particular design subject, an eight week design process consisted of coming up first with a concept for the final design, then creating a smaller scaled draft version made out of Gypsum then creating the final product with a 1:1 scale .

The concept:
considering how little kids rarely enjoy the experience of receiving posts via mail, we decided to create some sort of a special design just for the children to enjoy the experience within itself by creating a Lego like designed mailbox, it was a simple box design with perforated cubes along the faces in which some will contain wooden shaped mailboxes and other will be for the Lego playing experiment.

The box design 60cm x 60cm with location of foams to be placed on the mold, in which will be removed at final stages
